This pattern is to fit 32, 34 and 36 inch bust and is knitted in vintage 4ply, as the needles suggest a ply similar to modern 4ply give this a try. The original pattern is large format and in a nice vintage condition, with a faint V shaped crease to bottom edge, clean and bright.

War-time pattern for the girls in the W.A.A.F - my mother was a driver in air force during the war and instantly recognized this pattern - every girl knitted in those days, even their stockings and underwear if you wanted to keep warm in chilly billets. The measurements states 28" stretching to 33" bust knitted in 3ply on size 12 (imperial) so if you used 4ply and size 10 would be a couple of inches larger and again in double knitting on needles 8 (imperial) it would be bigger still. This little top is knitted on 4 needles, so you could try knitting it on a circular needle. 1940's

This pattern for a super smart waistcoat that will look very sophisticated under a suit, with skirt or trousers - as well as with jeans or slacks at the weekend. Very smart with little pockets. Knitted in vintage 3ply, so try modern 4ply in a tension square. To fit 32 , 34 and 36 inch bust. There is a crocheted edge all around the finished waist coat, but if you cannot crochet, then just pick up two stitches and knit them then cast one off, pick up next stitch and knit, cast off previous stitch, continue this way all the way around - it works just as well, don't pull too tight.
