vintage hat and socks knitting pattern from 1937

HC133-Head Band and Socks: Great vintage knitting pattern for skiing from 1937. For the retro look on the ski slopes this winter try a machin head band and socks ensamble. Easy to knit and very useful for a gift for the outdoor girl in your life. Knitted in 3ply on fine needls to give a close knit fabric for the head band and the socks should fit a size 5 shoe, adjustable along the sole to fit longer feet.

Bestway 116-Ladies hats: Great vintage knitting pattern for winter days from 1940s. There are instructions for classic pixie hood, beret with matching mittens in bobble stitch and a cravat in moss stitch. All knitted in 3ply, but might well work in modern 4ply. Work a tension square and change needles if needed.

Lux39-20LH: Great vintage ladies knitting pattern from 1939 for ladies hat set. The super pattern for hat, mittens and scarf in fluffy angora is easy to knit and super warm. The scarf is 40 inches long and the hat fits average head. The angora for this set is fine 4ply version, always work a tension square. Gloves are knitted on 4 needles.

SS44-8-8: Hat: Great vintage ladies knitting pattern for hat from 1944. This natty titfer is knitted in modern 4ply and you will need some stiffening canvas for crown, cotton wool padding and buckram (available on the internet or from milliners). Bright and so typical of the 40s.
