*Knitmaster 274: Great vintage maching knitting pattern for babies layette 1950s. This pattern has instructions for dress, coat, 2 x vests, bootees, nice easy diamond border and picot edging pattern to get you started. Worked in vintage 3ply, so work a tension square to make sure this will work to size or try modern 4ply. To fit new born chest 15 inches, so great for prem or early babies. Very easy to knit and to convert to hand knitting. Pattern in nice used vintage condition.

*Knitmaster 285: Great vintage layette machine knitting pattern Knitmaster 1950/60s. This booklet does not have a date, but probably late 1950s or early 1960s. there are instructions for set 18 inch chest with double breasted jacket, bonnet, hood, leggings and mittens. A very pretty dress set  to fit 20 inch chest, with dress, matinee coat, bonnet, bootees and knickers, plus another matinee coat, all trimmed with angora. A cape and shawl 56 inches square, 2 x vests for 14 and 16 inch chest, and pants, A long dress 18 inch chest, rompers to fit 16 and 18 inch chest and bootees. A cardigan to fit 20 and 22 inch chest, short trousers and stripe dolman jumper to fit 20 inch chest and two little matinee coats to fit 18 and 20 inch chest. 2 dresses, one with lacy border, the other with stripe border to fit 16 and 18 inch chest. And last but not least a sleeping bag and satin ribbon edged blanket. All items are knitted in either 3ply or 4ply vintage yarn so work tension square and change yarn to get correct tension. Pattern book in nice condition.

To fit 9-18 months, 19-20 inch chest. This pattern uses a 2ply for the cast on edge for the double knitting patterns, this makes a neater edge to the finished garment, which you can ommit if you are hand knitting. Pattern is in a used vintage conditon with a few small marks inside fornt page.

Both matinee coat and cardigan are knitted in vintage 3ply, so try mdoern 4ply and they measure 18-19 inch chest. No size is given for the blamket but it is knitted inMagnum which was a type of chunky with modern 4ply, interesting method of  making this one. Pattern innice condition.

This is a super pattern, very popular both sides of the Atlantic during the late 1940s and 1950s when skating was a very popular pastime.  To fit 28 to 32 inch chest/bust. The little cap and mittens are trimmed with angora. There are instructions for colourd pleated skirt, jumper, cap and mittens. Always work a tension square and change tension if needed. Easy to convert to hand knitting. to fit  9 moths to 3 years (21, 22 and 23 inch chest) Instructions for V neck or round neck cardigan worked in vintage 3ply, so try modern 4ply in a tension square (as most machines stretch knitting, leave off needles for an hour or so before measuring.) Spine is split and staples are rusty, there is a trade stamp to front.

This super pattern has instructions for all the items in either vintage 3ply or 4ply. To fit 34-36 inch bust and 38inch chest. And the dress is for 18 inch chest, gilrs jumper is 28 as is the boys waistcoat.  Always do a tension square and change tension setting if needed. For a Knitmaster 4500, but I am sure it is easy to convert to another machines.(As most machines stretch knitting, leave off needles for several hours before measuring.) Pattern in super condition.

Knitmaster 86: Great vintage machine knitting pattern from 1950s. Instructions for two jumpers and 2 cardigans for the larger lady to knit on the Knitmaster4500. But I am sure that it is easy to adapt these patterns. To fit 40-42 bust, 42-44 inch bust and 44-46 inch bust. It is also possible to convert to hand knitting if you are an experienced knitter. Vintage 3ply yarn is used, so try modern 4ply in a tension square - which is 8 stitches and 12 rows to an inch. (As most machines stretch knitting, leave off needles for several hours before measuring.) Very simple to follow. These little patterns are very collacable now. Pattern in nice condition.
