Knitted in pearl cotton no8 in ecru and brown, but you can use all colours, pattern gives some alternatives that would be available at the time for the purists or stage and TV authenticity. About size, it says that it is design for a slim tall young man! so probably about 36-38 inch chest, but should be quite easy if knitted against and existing pullover that fits well.

To fit 38 inch chest. Pattern for sale has a slight neck to front edge and has shelf wear. Very good for 75years old.
