Hi Folks, today I am making big changes to the Sindy and Actionman pages - all patterns have been reduced to £1.00 and books to £2.00 to make way for a new look Sindy page. As this takes a little time watch over the next few days if you are interested in a bargain. The dolls pages have been updated and there are some magazine patterns for sale on the latest additions page - I have a huge drawer full of these and need to make some room! I will also have some older Sindy dolls for sale shortly. I am also going to have a FAQ page so if there is anything you would like to be included let me know in an email, thank you.

A customer sent me some lovely pictures of her Fair isle knitting from patterns from my site. I have not personally used this yarn, but it sound lovely and will try to get some. Here are her pictures and email:

Greetings from a rainy bank holiday in Germany.  I have now finished two sweaters from the 1930s patterns: thought perhaps you might like to see the results.
The sleeveless sweater was knitted in Coolree cashmere and wool yarns: the heraldic one in Malabrigo silkalpaca.  I altered the neckline because I wanted a spring weight sweater; abandoned the rib because I felt it was too heavy looking and added a fleur de lys on the back.

More than happy for you to show them off!  I'm jolly pleased with them.  The heraldic one is so silky soft.  And of course Coolree yarn is superb.

The wool used was Made by Alex McLeod in Coolree near Wexford.

We have just come back from our cruise and feeling refreshed and ready to put up many more patterns. This coming week I will be putting up 50 children’s hats ready for the winter including some beautiful, easy to knit fair isle, many for sale at really low prices and others available as pdfs sent to the computer and photocopies - colour if original is in colour.

One of my customers got in touch with me for some more cushion cover knitting patterns and in her email she sent a photo of one that she had renovated that her late father-in-law had made many years ago. I had the same pattern available albeit a later edition. These old patterns still work well with contemporary colours or you can stick to the old more subtle shades.     (click to go to cushion cover page)
