baby dress knitting pattern 1920s BD Carole: Great vintage baby dress knitting pattern from around 1920. These little dresses are from a book left to my by my Great Grandmother over 50 years ago. I have knitted several of them over the years and they work out very nicely - ribbons help with some of the plainer ones. Length is sometimes given but not always chest measurement as the style give freedom of sizing. Mostly knitted in vintage 3ply, so try modern 4ply in a tension square. This one is for 16 inch length and 22 inch chest. This is a pretty pattern and easy to knit, great for the toddler.

baby dress knitting pattern from 1920s

Weldons 39: Great vintage baby dress set knitting pattern from 1920s. This traditional little dress is to fit 6-12 months and is knitted in 4ply. The ribbed yoke gives a good free fitting and there is a little jacket to match. Work a tension square and try modern 3ply for a smaller size.
