Dorette10-21L: Great vintage ladies cardigan embroidered with parrots from the 1940s. This lovely cardigan is knitted in double knitting wool and there is chart for the embroidery. To fit 36 inch bust, so easy to knit, all or part of the design can be used to enhance this lovely cardigan with a Tyrolean air of difference.

ladies halo hat for wedding or party 1940s

Dorette 10-24LH: Great vintage halo hat and gloves CROCHET pattern from 1940s. This is definitely for that special occasion - in colour for bridesmaids, in ivory ow sparkling white for the bride. The between two layers of the Halo buckram is used to stiffen, or any other stiff material, then ribbons attached to tie at back of head under hair. Glove pattern is included.

ladies jumper knitting pattern 1940s Dorette 14-5L: Great vintage ladies cardigan knitting pattern from 1940s. This is worked in what was called Ball pattern. Knitted in double knitting wool, quick and easy to make. To fit 36 inch bust. The 2x2 rib gives the cardigan a good fit and a change of needles gives it a nice shape.

This really unusual design is knitted in a wool that would be similar to modern 4ply, always work a tension square. To fit 36 inch bust. Long or short sleeves. Original was worked in green and grey.

ladies knitting pattern for vintage jumper 1940s NK25-459L: Great vintage ladies knitting pattern for a jumper with a difference from 1940s. This super design is so simple yet so different with the cross body buttoning and stripes this little top is knitted from the side of sleeve across as many dolmen styles were. Any colour combinations will do, what every you have. Those used in the original were grey rib and edging, pale blue, dark pink, white, grey, yellow, green and pale pink.

This design has a low round neck with ribbon and super deep rib that gives shape and is very slimming. Although knitted originally in bouclé it could also be knitted in a fine yarn that is similar, it is possible to still get this type of yarn. Always work a tension square and change needles to get size. To fit 33-35 inch bust.

ladies hat bag an gloves knititng pattern form 1950s SS18-6LH: Great 1950 knitting pattern for hat, bag and gloves. This super set is knitted in double knitting. The bag measures 20 inches alround, 6 inches deep and 3inches wide. Buckram and cardboard needed to complete, and embroidery cottons for the pattern in between the bands. So easy to knit, great for a Christmas gift - now is the time to get started. Diagram for embroidery.

The large buttons are crocheted over a button mould, but you can use ordinary buttons, or large vintage button. To fit 34-36 inch bust. The red piping is hand knitted when coat is completed.

ladies world war 2 slip over knitting pattern SS41-1-9L: Great vintage services slip over knitting pattern from 1941. This design was made for ladies in the services to keep warm whilst on duty and away form home. Fancy panels are interesting, to fit 34-36 inch bust and knitted in 4ply, the tension shows it might knit well in modern double knitting. Nice deep rib and round neck.

ladies stocking knitting pattern from 1941 SS41-11-4stockings: Great vintage stockings knitting pattern from 1941. These colourful stockings just show you fashions don't really change. I remember this type of stockings in the 1960s and they would look really good today. Use up all your bright odds and ends - commonly known now a days a a stash! Knitted in 3ply on fine needles for that smooth appearance. Knitted on 4 needles. The blue ones are made by omitting the diamonds and hand embroidering the designs as shown originally known as 'clocks' - not sure why.

ladies stockings knitting pattern from 1943 SS43-10-2stockings: Great vintage ladies stockings and ankle socks knitting pattern from 1943. This wartime knitting pattern shows three different pairs of stockings and a pair of ankle socks all worked on 2 needles. Knitted on fine needles in 3ply wool. length of foot is 9 inches but this like the leg length is adjustable. All 4 designs plus socks and gloves in this pattern.

The 4 needles are used to shape the toe. Gloves are to fit average hand, 4 needles needed for finger shaping. All 4 designs plus socks and gloves from above in this pattern.

Cable design, jumper has collar and short sleeves, press studs to back of neck on jumper. Knitted in 3ply, always work a tension square. Try fine 4ply and see if this works.

ladies stockings knitting patter 1946 SS46-10-5stockings: Great vintage ladies stocking knitting pattern from 1946. This design is in a fancy rib and will be lovely and warm in the winter. Knitted in 2ply so they are quite fine and knitted on 4 needles size 12 (2.75mm) but really worth an effort. Modern 3ply could be used - always work a tension square.

ladies cardigan knitting pattern from 1948 SS48-11-7L: Great vintage cardigan knitting pattern from 1948. Rationing still going on for wool, but more colours becoming available. This jacket is in a lovely yellow with collar and super fit and is knitted in a wool that was similar to modern double knitting. To fit 34-36 inch bust. This is known as clover stitch. No ribbing on this one, a reversed stocking stitch binding is knitted to be turned under to create a neat tailored edge.
