Penelope K1065: Great vintage tea cosy knitting pattern 1940s. Three delightful cosies all worked in  thick wool try chunky or double knitting doubled.Two really easy ones and the other one wither uses a china half doll - see ebay for these or make one from fimo, knit one or use on of the tea pots that has a lady as part of the lid, you could also use an old Barbie or Sindy doll cut in half, or just make a pom-pom.

Penelope M1209: Great vintage tea cosy knitting pattern with two different designs 1940s. This lovely pattern has instructions for a simple cottage cosy and lantern one with pom-pom ties. The Cottage one will require a pad underneath it as lining. Worked in vintage 3ply so try modern 4ply. The cottage measures 10 by 11 inches and the lantern 8 inche high by 16 inches round base.

Penelope K1534: Great vintage tea cosy knitting pattern. Three tea cosies ladies - Dutch girl is knitted, so is the  bachelor tea cosy with the loops at the top.   The other lady has a crochet skirt as a cosy.All knitted in double knitting. (The little half dolls can be found in antique or charity shops occassionally) Some tea pots have these dolls as part of the hand on the lid - I have few of them, these designs can be made to fit these quite easily.There are other designs on this site where the doll is knitted, this can be done also for these cosies.

Sentinel152tc: Very pretty Willow pattern tea cosy 1940s. Instructions for this pretty and unusual FAIR ISLE tea cosy work in blue with colourful Japanese ladies already for their own tea party. The tea cosy is worked in vintage 3ply, so try modern 4ply it measures 13.5 inches in wide and 10 inches high, it is lined with wadding and fabric, with instructions on how to make up with fabric linning.

Sirdar 983: Great vintage knitting pattern for tea cosies and bed socks 1940s. The tea cosies are knitted in vintage 4ply wool so work a tension square and use modern double knitting if needed. The round one with cable measures 22 inches round base and is 9 inches high. The oblong cosy measures 6.5 inches high, 8 inches long and 3.5 inches deep. There are also instructions for the bed socks shown for a lady and a hot water bottle cover, not shown on cover.

vintage target 1094 tea cosy knitting pattern

Target 1094: Fabulous vintage knitting pattern for classic tea cosies from 1930s. This super pattern has three designs the classic rib, the oblong with braid round the edge and the super square one. All knitted in double knitting and to  fit between 8-9 inches high and the square one is 22 inches at lower edge, the round one is 21 inches all round and the oblong one is also 21 inches all round. Always work a tension square.

Templetons1490: Lovely vintage knitting pattern for three different designs. This pattern again has three different designs, the classic loopy one for the tea pot with the crinoline lady (I have a lovely duck egg blue one) A honeycomb style with nest (this helps to keep the bottom of the pot warm. And the one in bottom right is CROCHETED all are to fit a medium tea pot and worked in double knitting wool.

Weldon S110: Great vintage knitting pattern for tea cosies and egg cosy. Another cottage, slightly different from above and check tea cosy with matiching egg cosy. Knitted in vintage 4ply, which is similar to modern double knitting. The check on is 23" round the base and 9" high, the egg cpsy 3" high and 6" round base. The cottage is 9.5" deep and 26" round base. 1930's pattern.

Worked in no 60 cotton and hook old size 6.5

Weldon 634cr: Great vintage tea cosy mat crochet pattern 1940. This lovely pattern has instructions for the very pretty tea cosy cover (there is a pad inside, if you make one with a coloured material it look stunning showing through the delicate crochet cover - this is a fabulous pattern to work for WI or fete competions as well, for those who can do filet crochet (not me!) Chart is included, no measurement given, work to size desired.

This one has instructions to knit both cosies - one is embroidered and is to fit 14 by 9 inch pad. The other one is about 10 by 7 inches.  Both are knitted in a type of 4ply. Always work a tension square.

vintage tea cosy knitting pattern from 1920s wolsey 371 Wolsey 371: Great vintage tea cosy knitting pattern from 1930s. This one has instructions to knit both cosies one is the classic crinoline lady skirt - I have one of these lovely tea pots, the lady shape is the lid handle in  and this fits mine. Blue is suggested for this one. The other one is the classic check one that is pulled at the back to create the texture - I have my grand mother's that she knitted before the second World War. The colours suggested for this one are pink and blue - mine is green and red!  Both are knitted in a type of 4ply. Always work a tension square.

vintage Prudence knitted TV cat from 1950s tea cosy WWKitten Egg Cosy: Great little egg cosy knitting pattern form 1950s to match any cat tea cosy. Knitted in angora, so easy to knit and any child would love this on Christmas morning for her boiled egg, or to cover a surprise chocolate egg at Easter Time.

WWPrudenc Kitten Tea Cosy: Fabulous Prudence Kitten tea cosy. Prudence has an apron made of cotton and her petticoat lace peeps out at the bottom -so cute. The cosy measures 21 inches round the bottom edge and is 7 inches tall, there is a padded lining to fit under the skirt to keep tea hot.

vintage house shaped tea cosy knitting pattern from 1940s

WW26: Great vintage tea cosy knitting pattern in the shape of a cottage and a round one with a bouget on the top from 1930s. This lovely pattern calls for a vintage 4ply, so try a mdoern double knitting in a tension square. The little bouquet worked with wool and a crochet hook, but not really crocheted.
