Cut Woolly Toys: This is a fabulous book with 11 different animals to make by creating pom-poms and trimming them into shape. From 1956 these beautiful little animals are fun to create and you don't have to be able to knit. They are made from double knitting wool, as well as finer 4ply or 3ply only in the Lion is wire used as he needs to stand on his legs but the thick binding cord can be used double, glass eyes and horse hair are suggested for whiskers, but modern whiskers and plastic eyes are available from craft shops or online - make sure that the eyes are small enough for the animal or the will look out of place - you can always use felt to make eyes. All patterns are adjustable for larger or smaller animals, using squared paper. all instructions for this and the make up of each animal is included in the pattern with illustrations.
