vintage girls knicker with pocket knitting pattern 1940s

KB3-200uw: Great vintage knitting pattern for girls knickers and vest 1940s. This is a super pattern, I wore a pair like this, knitted from similar pattern in the 1950s when I was at school - in bottle green to match my gym-slip! And were else did you keep your hanky? Finding it and getting it out to blow a very cold nose on a very cold day was the biggest problem for any little girl and a happy few moments for the small boys in the class as they watched the struggle!! There is also a pretty vest with paw print lace top and ribbed bottom for neatness. To fit  a 32 chest - this set is more for a teenager, but I have to say I wore knickers with a pocket right up into High School - an all girls school - thank goodness! Still wearing a gym-slip and straw boater (beret in the winter) More of that later!!

There is a crochet edging round the vests, but this can also be done by knitting. Worked in vintage 3ply, so try modern 4ply for a better fit. Modern Merino, cashmere or alpaca is non irritant and so very soft.
